Unipersonal that is written, directed and interpreted by Neher Jacqueline Briceño celebrating 45 years of artistic career.
The obsession of a girl to sing opera and to know about the meaning of love and pain, immerses her in the secrets of her great-grandmother, soon to turn 100 years old, and in the sorrows of her mother, who is torn between divorce and survival. Three generations of women who address heartbreak, uprooting, and generational struggles of their pasts. Nothing is more complicated for Martirio than to elucidate human pain, her ancestral sense of loneliness and her departure from her homeland to serve a great opera star, all while clinging to her own hopes of one day being able to sing on her own. A rough and delicate story that is defined by humor and innocence, Martirio takes us on a journey of the discovery of her own power through her passion for the Opera.
